Perfect Friction formed in early 2012 when five young musicians playing traditional Irish music sessions together in Wicklow town decided to enlist the services of a talented vocalist and put together a new sound.
The band’s music ranges from high-energy trad sets with a full range of instruments, to pop and rock songs tastefully arranged with a trad theme. The musicians include All-Ireland champions and two sisters who collectively deliver a sound that will have your foot tapping and wondering what their magic ingredient is.
Blending classic contemporary tunes with traditional rhythms has become the hallmark of this band and their repertoire will appeal to young and old alike. Perfect Friction are making their mark on the Irish music scene having shared the stage with
members of the Chieftans, The Dubliners, Paul Brady, Frances Black, Aoife Scott, The Keynotes and Elenor McEvoy.
A 3 piece Perfect Friction will perform Saturday 26 August at 13.00, 15.00 and 17.00 at the Oak Tree (Tommy Hilfiger).
