Bow Tie Friday
The origin of the bow tie dates to the 17th century when Croatian mercenaries fought in support of Louis XIII against Cardinal Richelieu. As the Croats walked the streets of Paris, their brightly coloured scarves caught the attention of the court. The upper class began wearing creatively tied versions of the scarves around their necks and the bow tie was born.
At Brooks Brothers Kildare we're big fans of the bow tie and feel that we need to represent, promote and love the creative nature and origins of this marvellous neck wear.
Every week throughout the US, and now in Ireland, dapper gents and fashionable ladies don their favourite piece in celebration of 'Bow Tie Friday'.
Why not grab yourself a piece of the action and pick one up today, we can help you with the tying and by the time next Friday arrives you'll be all set.
