A celebration of Irish Icons – Past and Present by Korean Chinese visual artist, Jin Yong.

As sponsor of the Dublin Chinese New Year festival for the eighth consecutive year, Kildare Village is delighted to announce an impressive array of activity in celebration of Chinese New Year 2017 for The Year of the Rooster.
This year will also see Kildare Village host a special art exhibition – A celebration of Irish Icons – Past and Present by Korean Chinese visual artist, Jin Yong. The exhibition portrays some of the great influential Irish icons leading in their respective fields globally, including Arthur Guinness, Katie Taylor, Phil Lynott and Conor McGregor to name but a few. It will also showcase their matching Chinese Zodiac sign in celebration of the cultural significance of Chinese New Year. Jin, who has been based in Ireland since 2002, was nominated for the 2016 Chinese Professional Achievement Award by Association of Chinese Professionals in Ireland.
The exhibition will launch on Tuesday 24 January until mid-February.
